Peter Russell is a scientist, with degrees in physics, psychology and computing form Cambridge (UK), who became fascinated by the nature of human consciousness. He traveled to India where he trained as a teacher of Transcendental Meditation. On his return, he started a meditation center, and went on to conduct research into the psychophysiology of meditation. He was one of the first people to start teaching meditation to businesses, and for 15 years ran various self-development programs for major corporations. He has written ten books in this area, and produced several videos exploring the role that the awakening of consciousness has to play in contemporary affairs.
