Choose a class appropriate for your level of experience with yoga and physical ability:
Beginner Level Brand-new to yoga or less than one year of experience. Restorative and InFlight Yoga are great for those who are physically restricted.
Level 1 One year of regular yoga practice. Knowledge of basic postures including sun salutations.
Level 2 More than two years of regular yoga practice with a working knowledge of English names for poses. Breathing has become smooth, deep, and even during entire practice. Able to do headstand with the wall and be working towards wheel with straight arms.
Intermediate Three years or more of regular yoga practice. Working knowledge of Sanskrit names for poses. Comfortable with inversions in the middle of the room and wheel with straight arms. Understand the three main bandhas and have a working knowledge of the chakra system. Breathing shows no sign of strain, with inhalations and exhalations the same length in poses and transitions. Comfortable with pranayama with holds after the exhale.
Advanced Five years or more of regular asana practice. Comfortable with arm balances, inversions and backbends. Inhalations and exhalations are eight seconds or longer throughout practice. Have a regular daily practice of meditation and have a working knowledge of the bahndas, pranayama (kappalabatti, bastrika, nadi sodhana).
